There are countless mate fans! From its real name yerba maté – the word maté rather designates the calabash in which it is consumed – this plant comes from a tree of the holly family which only grows in South America. The Argentines, for example, drink mate all day long according to an immutable ritual: we put the yerba mate in the mate, we add sugar, honey or spices, we create a well in which we insert a bombilla – small cylinder serving as both straw and filter - pour hot water, let steep and enjoy! Preferably by sharing.
